Proceeds will go directly to our relief and advocacy efforts. Under our fiscal sponsorship agreement, all checks must be made to the New Sun Rising, with Pittsburgh Restaurant Workers Aid in the check memo.

We often collaborate with other non-profit organizations who share similar missions and shareholder communities. Partnerships can include co-hosted programming, joint fundraising campaigns, advocacy, and resource sourcing and distribution.

Product Donations for our Care Packages

We are always seeking donations of perishable and non-perishable groceries, cleaning products, baby care items, pet food and litter, which are distributed directly to our care recipients. All prepared food donations must come directly from a Health Department certified commercial kitchen, and arrive properly chilled. We unfortunately can not accept hot food or home prepared food items.

Product donations for raffle or auction

Your product will be featured as items in raffles or auctions that directly support our programs.

 

HOST A FUNDRAISER IN YOUR COMMUNITY

All public uses of Pittsburgh Restaurant Workers Aid’s name, logo, or other assets require Board approval. If you would like to host a public fundraiser on our behalf, please email info@pghrwa.org at least two weeks in advance of your event or promotion. Our Board meets weekly and will respond after our next scheduled meeting

 

Any approved fundraisers will receive an official media assets package for use in your marketing and outreach, and mentions through PRWA’s social media and newsletter. We sometimes have matching funds through certain crowdfunding platforms, so please contact us before donation for the best avenue to direct your contribution.

Successful fundraisers have included:

  • Live Streamed entertainment, such as live music, dj sets, films, readings, cocktail and cooking demos.

  • Promotional sales, such as featured drinks or menu items, merchandise, or percentages of daily sales. If you already have sponsorship, or would like help securing a product sponsor, please let us know!

  • Raffles and auctions.

  • Social media #hashtag campaigns.

  • Workplace and community organization donation drives.

FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS

$2,500+ - SPONSOR A MATCH CAMPAIGN. You or your business will be published as a contributor for a campaign to match donations to one of our ongoing fundraising streams (IOBY, GoFundMe, New Sun Rising, etc.). This campaign can run for a single day or for a longer duration, depending on the size of your donation. Match funds greatly increase smaller donations, as they help folks see the value of even a modest contribution, and let the general public know that our mission is supported by a wider community. Your company name and logo will be displayed in our marketing material during the duration of your match campaign.

 

$10,000+ - Our community will curate and present a live streamed experience for your company or guests. Events can include Happy Hour cocktail classes, cooking demos, wine tastings, or other food and beverage focused educational activities. In addition, your company name and logo can appear on our list of sponsors.
