Partnership FAQs

How can an organization/individual/business apply for a partnership?

Please contact us at info@pghrwa.org if you think we could work well together! All partnerships must be approved by our board, and must fit within our operation goals and capacity.

Where will the proceeds go?

If not earmarked, all proceeds will go directly to our relief and advocacy efforts. Partnerships requesting earmarked funding will receive reports detailing how their work impacted our community.

How long does it take to hear back about a potential partnership?

Our Board meets on a weekly basis and will respond after our next scheduled meeting. Any timely requests should be noted in the body of the email inquiry. The Board periodically votes on timely issues using our internal communication.

How should we write out a donation check?

Under our fiscal agreement, all checks must be made out to New Sun Rising, with Pittsburgh Restaurant Workers Aid in the check memo.

Checks can be mailed to:
Daniel Stiker
83 Chapel Drive
Pittsburgh, PA 15237

What type of partnerships are not considered?

PRWA has a limited capacity and examines this capacity before entering into new partnerships. The mission of the partnership must overlap with our overarching goal of supporting restaurant workers in the western Pennsylvania region.

Do you support corporate volunteer days?

Yes! Through our relief efforts, we look to partner with organizations interested in helping deliver care packages to restaurant workers throughout the Allegheny County region. Please reach out to Emily Watts at emily@pghrwa.org if you are interested.
