Food Not Bombs

Providing food resources to residents of Allegheny County, including free hot meal services, grocery distributions, and a standing mini food pantry outside of the Big Idea Bookstore in Bloomfield (4812 Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh PA 15224).

SNAP/EBT

Provides food to low-income individuals and families via an Electronic Benefits Transfer card, which works like a debit card that recipients can use to buy eligible food at grocery stores.

Free Resource Distribution Sites

Map of multiple different types of resource distribution sites in Allegheny County and some surrounding areas as well. Primarily focused on food resources. Long term and one-time events, pick up and delivery type events are all represented.

CHS Food Pantry

Food pantry in South Oakland open to everyone. Hours are Thursday 3pm-6pm and Friday 11am-2pm. Operating under the umbrella of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

412 Food Rescue

Rescuing food from local restaurants and grocery stores to redistribute to non-profit partners and individuals.

Providing a variety of food and food-related resources to those dealing with food insecurity, from farmers' market programs to food pantries to delivery. They can help individuals apply for SNAP.
